AUTUMN
Junior Room Ambassador: Musical Theater
Meet Autumn! Autumn is 8 years old and has been dancing since she was 3! She currently dances at WSPA, Winthrop School of Performing Arts, where she takes ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap classes every week and performs in their recital every year. Autumn’s favorite style of dance is hip hop, but she loves musical theater too. When we asked Autumn what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves how she can use her body to tell a story. She also told us that she loves spending time with her friends and her teachers while they work together to create really cool dances. Autumn wants to thank her teachers at WSPA for teaching her how to dance and making it so fun! Dance makes Autumn feel alive because it is her favorite thing to do. The music gives her energy and she loves to stretch, twist, bend, cartwheel, and move to it in all sorts of ways!
Autumn’s favorite part of the Alive Experience was dancing on stage with the instructor after being selected as an Alive Ambassador, she was so excited! Autumn can’t wait for the next Alive convention so that she can learn new dances and meet new teachers and dancers!
Fun fact - in addition to her dance classes, Autumn also takes acting classes! Most recently, Autumn performed as King Louie in WSPA’s production of The Jungle Book where she had to dance and sing at the same time!
