Sophia

Sophia is 12 years old and has been dancing for 9 years.  She dances at Rachel Ferrante’s Academy of Performing Arts in Revere, MA.  Here, Sophia takes classes in multiple styles of dance and is part of the competition team.  If she had to choose, her favorite style of dance would have to be hip hop.  When we asked Sophia what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves being able to express herself as well as her emotions through performing!

Why dance makes Sophia feel ALIVE:

Dance makes me feel alive when I see improvements in my dancing and performing on stage.

Sophia’s favorite part of the most recent  Alive Dance Convention:

Learning new combinations and having fun while performing them with new people.
