Selena

Meet Selena!  Selena is 10 years old and has been dancing for 8.5 years.  Selena currently belongs to Fusion Dance Project, Adagio Dance Academy, and Safe Haven Ballet.  She competes both with a dance team and independently.  When she competes with a team, she is dancing with Fusion Dance Project which is based out of Portsmouth, NH.  She takes acro classes with Adagio Dance Academy in Exeter, NH and ballet classes with Safe Haven Ballet in Portsmouth, NH.  Selena’s favorite styles of dance are jazz and acro.   When we asked Selena what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves the connections that she has made through dance.  She has made so many friends that she now considers her family and discovered role models in master teachers.  Selena also loves learning new skills and working hard to achieve them - the feeling of accomplishment is amazing.  Dance makes Selena feel alive because she is able to tell a story and express how she is feeling without any words.  

Selena’s favorite part of Alive Dance Tours was how encouraging, personable, and passionate all of the master teachers were.  She is looking forward to January’s event so that she can make new friends and represent Alive as an ambassador.

Fun fact- when Selena grows up, she wants to work as someone who rehabilitates wildlife.  She absolutely loves animals!  Selena is also a Kandi K Girl Exclusive and takes a lot of pride in representing Kandi Kouture Dancewear.
