Amelia

Meet Amelia!  Amelia is 17 years old and has been dancing for 9 years.  She belongs to On Your Toes dance studio.  Dance is Amelia’s life!  She trains daily alongside her competition team at On Your Toes, and attends as many master classes, conventions, and open classes as possible.  If she had to choose, Amelia’s favorite style of dance would be contemporary, but she really loves them all.  When we asked Amelia what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves learning new choreography and being challenged.  She likes to perform and make people feel something through her dancing. Amelia also loves meeting other dancers who have the same passion as her - it has allowed her to meet some of her best friends!  Dance makes Amelia feel alive because it allows her to express herself in a way that words can’t.  She is happiest when she is dancing.  

Amelia’s favorite part of Alive Dance Tours’ events is getting to take classes from such talented choreographers and dancing alongside some of her old friends.  Amelia is looking forward to the next Alive event because she will get the opportunity to assist classes and get to learn new choreography!

Fun fact - Amelia got to dance in the South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Salem Halloween Parade!  She is also pursuing dance as a double major in college.  Amelia also hopes to be a professional dancer one day!
