Alana

Alana is 14 years old and has been dancing for the past 8 years.  Alana is a member of the Catalyst Dance Company.  In addition, she is a member of her high school dance team.  Alana also loves dancing at conventions and taking drop in classes.  Alana’s favorite styles of dance are contemporary and jazz.  When we asked Alana what she loves most about dance, she told us that she loves how it allows her to express herself and communicate with others.  Dance makes Alana feel alive when she is able to connect her body movements to a song and her emotions in order to tell a story.  

Alana’s favorite part of the Alvie event that she attended was learning the combos from the amazing choreographers - she loves them!  Alana is looking forward to Alive's next event in January so that she can meet and dance with so many talented dancers and ambassadors.  

Fun fact - Alana is choreographing her first contemporary group piece that will be performed in April!  She is so excited to have such a cool opportunity.
